I have two comments about 7.6 for the DECstation.
First, I have yet to notice any release-related bugs. Yay!
Second, despite not seeing any visible bugs, my DECstation/5000 seems
to now be *much* slower than it used to be. Its been that way for at
least the last two days that I can recall. Programs take longer to
start (particularly X apps, I think), and I think they run slower once
they are up and running. I've started having fewer X applications
running at the same time, in the hopes of improving performance by
reducing swapping. I don't know if this is a release-related problem
or not... but in checking with Dot, she told me that she and Katie
had noticed the same thing, thus I don't think the problem is just
with my particular workstation.
