By comparing the 7.4 and 7.6 cat form of the man page, one will see where the
screwup is....

I have a suspicion I know what the problem is..... Which version of catman was
run???? If the /usr/athena/etc/catman was not used, then something is wrong.

Another possibility is that paris got screwed up man catman was run. For
instance, transcript is not properly installed on Paris right now... (try
using psroff for instance). I suspect that after /usr/athena/lib was moved
away, someone tried reinstalling transcript and screwed up. Catman then
lost (possibly silently).

Oh well.... Have fun.... I just verified that running the sequence of
commands that catman would generate, put out a proper file....

The only other thing I could think of was that you ran catman from a
non-ultrix system which is guaranteed to be bad becuase the
tmac macros are different.....

Look in the logs and see how it was done....

Then rebuild all cat sections....

Subject: decmips 7.6C: dbm man page is missing the nouns
Date: Thu, 29 Jul 93 13:52:03 EDT

System name: cascade
Type and version:	KN02ca 7.6C (1 update(s) to same version)
Display type: PMAG-DV

What were you trying to do?
	Read man page for dbm

What's wrong:
No function names appear in the text of the man page. For instance,

Once open, the data stored under a key is accessed by (?) and
data is placed under a key by (?) A key (and its associated con-
tents) is deleted by (?) A linear pass through all keys in a
database may be made, in an (apparently) random order, by
use of (?) and (?) The (?) will return the first key in the database.

I've inserted a (?) wherever it seems a function name is missing.
This may be related to rjbarbal's bug report, [10713].

What should have happened:
I should have been able to figure out what functions to call.
The man page, as-is, is all but useless.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
	man dbm
