% fs flushv /srvd/.
on a SPARC produces undesirable results. On one SPARC it hung the
machine (it accepted connections, and echoed characters in my xterm,
but wouldn't start any processes; the xlogin clock stopped ticking).
On another it seemed to hang, but ^Z^C stopped it.
I haven't tried to debug this in any more detail.
