Hi --
I often use this line:
xterm -title docsourc -e telnet `hostname` &
to log into my machine as docsourc. The login sequence normally asks me to
set the DISPLAY. Today (the first time since the 7.6 update) when I tried to
do this, it asked me for TERM = (vt100), the same question I get in dialup.
If I take that as a default, I later get a DISPLAY: Undefined variable error.
