The su problems and afs authentication problem both happened on
m11-115-5 the consulting rios machine. The machine is supposed to be
un-customized.
I seem to remember needing the re-attach another time to gain access to my
files. There really aren't any details to give besides the transcript I
sent in my earlier message.
I don't know if this is related, and it's only happened once, but I was
denied write permission on the /u1 partition of m11-115-5. When I
tried to demonstrate the problem to another consultant, I was able to
write; the problem had gone away. (This is all in one login session, I
think).
