Documentation for customization of logout button

Where should documentation for customizing the new logout button go?
I thought it might be nice for something like man xlogout to return
that, rather than tossing it in with the already fairly long dash
manual page (with appropriate cross-referencing). But of course, there
isn't a program called xlogout anymore. Should xlogout be made a
Bourne shellscript to execute dash -l? Is referring to it as xlogout
going to be too confusing? The fact that the logout button is no longer
xlogout, but looks much the same is probably already confusing...
