Good day!

Below you will find an update of projects in which the Software Release 
Team is currently engaged.  With the assistance of team members throughout 
the MIT community, we are working toward IS support for the following software:


MACINTOSH

Eudora 5.1 - waiting for vendor (TBD)
Fetch 4.0.1 - release effort beginning - May 2002
FileMaker Pro 5.5 - testing underway - Mar 2002
Mac OS X (10.1.3) - Discovery Project* wrapping up - Feb 2002
Mac OS X (10.1.3) - release effort continues - TBD 2002
Netscape 6.2.1 - release effort underway - May 2002




WINDOWS

FileZilla 1.8 - release effort beginning - Apr 2002
KLP 1.1 - new version needed to work with WinXP - Feb 2002
Windows XP - Discovery Project* in pre-planning - TBD in 2002
Netscape 6.2.1 - release effort underway - May 2002
WinZephyr - MIT developed - writing installer - Mar 2002


*The Discovery Projects for Mac OS X and Windows XP are looking to answer 
the questions of how, when and what it means to "support" these operating 
systems.

IS will no longer be supporting this hardware or software after June 30, 
2002.  You should upgrade prior to that date if you wish to continue to 
receive support from IS.  If you have questions or need assistance with

Note:
These hardware desupport statements are targeted for machines that are used 
in a desktop environment to run multiple applications simultaneously, such 
as Eudora, Dreamweaver, Netscape and Office.  The machines listed above for 
desupport can still be useful for web browsing, email and word processing 
in some environments.
