Viruscan 4.5.1 is now available for updating your virus scanning
software for PC Desktop machines. Two new features are included in
this update which should help us.

First, there is no longer a separate procedure needed to update your
virus engine with the SuperDAT files. These files will be included
in the automatic DAT file update that you should be doing weekly.

Second, the installation now has a new "default" scanning option.
This option scans for viruses using a known list of program
extensions that have been infected. This list is updated as needed as
part of the DAT file updates. This will reduce scanning time if you
have been scanning for "all files". That option is still available
for those who want to be more cautious. We still recommend turning on
heuristic scanning to protect against new variations of macro viruses.

The platforms supported now incude Windows ME, as well as Windows
95/98/NT and Windows 2000.
