Subject: Fix found for problem with VirusScan 7 and some IBM T30 laptops
cc: virusscan-release@mit.edu, infosys@mit.edu
Good Afternoon,
Working with the Network Associates and IBM, Information Systems has found
and documented a solution to the problem that was experienced on some IBM
T30 laptop running Windows XP Professional when they're owners tried to
install VirusScan Enterprise 7.0. The problem is related to an old version
of software included on the IBM T30 laptops. The solution is to upgrade
that package of software before installing VirusScan Enterprise 7.0.
For more information on the fix visit:
http://web.mit.edu/is/help/virusscan/virusscan-7.0.html#pre-install
Thanks,
Jon
