Good Afternoon,

MIT Information Systems is proud to announce support for Secure FX
2.1.3. This release marks the first IS-supported version of Secure FX.

Who Should Download and Why
------------------------------
Secure FX is a secure file transfer program for Windows that uses the
SSH2 protocol. If you would prefer to use SSH2 or are having trouble
transferring files using FileZilla, especially from a home network, then
you should download this program.

This program is not a critical upgrade unless you are experiencing
difficulty transferring files via Filezilla or if you do not currently
have a secure file transfer client. If your department has a local
computer administrator, then IS recommends that you consult him or her
first before downloading and installing this new software. If your
department does not have a local computer administrator, then IS
recommends that you carefully review the list of features and determine
whether you would benefit from them before downloading and installing
it.

Notable Features and Bug Fixes
------------------------------
- Secure file transfers using Secure Shell SFTP
- Ability to reconnect after a broken connection and resume the transfer
- Command-line support enables automation
- Windows Explorer look and feel with Network Neighborhood support and
customizable toolbar
- Quick Site Synchronize
- Multiple simultaneous connections
- Able to securely transfer data through Network Address Translation
(NAT) boxes (DSL and Cable routers, etc) so home users can connect
securely from behind these devices

Known Issues
-------------
  - The Public-key assistant toolbar button does not show up on the
toolbar if a previous version of SecureFX was installed. The Public-key
assistant toolbar button can be added manually by customizing the
SecureFX toolbar.
  - Rename operations will fail with older versions of SFTP servers from
SSH Communications and Data Fellows
  - SecureFX is incompatible with FTP servers using SOS (SNIX) file
systems
  - Toolbars may appear white and/or tool tips may not display on
systems that do not have the latest common control DLLs. Links to the
latest version of the common control DLLs may be found at the following
location: http://www.vandyke.com/support/securefx/faq.html#Q10
