Good day!

Below you will find an update of projects in which the Software Release 
Team is currently engaged.  With the assistance of team members throughout 
the MIT community, we are working toward IS support for the following software:


MACINTOSH

Fetch 4.0.1 - release effort beginning - June 2002
Mac OS X (10.1.3) - phase one testing completed - Fall 2002
Netscape 6.2.2 - release effort underway - June 2002


WINDOWS
---------------------------
Eudora 5.1 - release effort underway - May 2002
Windows XP - Discovery Project* underway - May 2002
Netscape 6.2.2 - release effort underway - June 2002
WinZephyr - MIT developed - back in development - May 2002


*The Discovery Project for Windows XP is looking to answer the questions of 
how, when and what it means to "support" this operating system.

2002.  You should upgrade prior to that date if you wish to continue to 
receive support from IS.  If you have questions or need assistance with

Note:
These hardware desupport statements are targeted for machines that are used 
in a desktop environment to run multiple applications simultaneously, such 
as Eudora, Dreamweaver, Netscape and Office.  The machines listed above for 
desupport can still be useful for web browsing, email and word processing 
in some environments.
