We will discuss concepts of computer and network security, including
network protocol vulnerabilities, buffer overflows, distributed
denial of service, probing techniques, various attacks, common
security flaws, and other related topics depending on participants'
interests. Familiarity with UNIX is recommended.

We will discuss Web security, SSL, techniques for authentication, and
common methods of circumvention.

It's a dangerous world out there. Between polymorphic viruses, l33t
scr1pt kidd13s, nation-states, and corporate hackers, the Internet
isn't a safe place to hang out anymore. Who are these people attacking
you, and what do they want? A look at the means, methods, and
especially motivations of attackers.
