Hello Team,
I spoke with Dan Cogswell of IBM today. He has already sent a description
of the web server and print monitor that he developed for the University of
Illinois Champagne Urbana (via pdf file). He is also going to send us the
print monitor software that he wrote for them (a kerberized Windows version)
so that we can test it on our borrowed IPM server. I have given him the
hostname (Y2K1.MIT.EDU) and the root password so that he can poke around and
make sure everything will work. Finally, he will also consult with his
manager and let us know what we need to do to get the ball rolling for the
customization of an IPM web server for MIT.
I am waiting for a response from Brad Thompson to the email I sent a short
while ago. If he cannot do the development work we need, I will assess the
work and the Mac environment myself and find an appropriate resource.
