Hello Fellow VM'ers,
As you can see from the email below, the new IBM 3160 printer has been
installed in W91. As you know, this printer has been configured to
communicate via both ethernet and a mainframe channel attachment. It can
be switched back and forth via the control panel and LCD readout on the
printer itself (it takes about 1 - 2 minutes to switch).
The Enterprise Printing Delivery Team will be using the printer for testing
with our borrowed InfoPrint Manager system in the terminal room. To do this
we will need to keep the 3160 in ethernet mode for the time being. It will
therefore not be available on the channel. If this causes any problems please
let me know.
Lynne Durland will be doing most of the initial testing next week.
