Hey Gang,
After a comedy of errors and line drops, I was finally able to get the GUI
up and trouble shoot the problem.
Yesterday there was a problem with jobs taking off with the wrong paper
loaded in the bottom tray of the printer. In order to reduce the chance of
this, I had reduced the list of trays to 2 on each of the IBM printers. I
should have sent mail to DOST letting you all know of this change. For
reference, when changing the media for the printer, please DO indicate the
type of paper you have loaded in the bottom tray, for both trays on the
printer details page.
Sometime today, someone changed the settings for the trays on the E19
printer. I have restored the trays to how they were set last night. Print
jobs can once again be started on the E19 printer.
I know that there is a button on the printer details page to add or remove
a bin/tray, and that the names or choices of trays can be changed.
PLEASE only change the media for the trays on this page.
Please DO NOT add or remove trays.
PLEASE DO NOT change the "name" of a tray.
The problem this afternoon of the mysterious E19 won't start printing jobs,
and a waste of 4 1/2 hours of printing time during General Ledger could
have been avoided.
Sorry for my lack of communication last evening.
