Hi Dave,

Here are the instructions for registering for a userid on our system.
The userid you select will also be your kerberos principal which we
will use for access to Pillage.mit.edu and to obtain your X509 client
certificates from our certificate authority. Please let me know when
you have completed the selection process and wheat userid you chose
("davedow" is already taken but "daviddow" appears to be available).

Rocklyn

Hi,

David Dow may now register for an Athena account. He can do this by
clicking on "register for an account" at the login screen of any
Athena workstation or via www. To register on the web, launch
Netscape version 3.0 or later. Be sure java and javascript are
enabled. Go to:

	http://web.mit.edu/register/

The process will prompt for name and MIT id number (use 999999999).
Once found in the database, he will be prompted to choose a username
and a password. He will be able to use the new Athena account the
following day.

Please be careful to select a good username. Once the username is
chosen, it CANNOT be changed.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thanks,

Laura Baldwin
