1. IPM Pricing:
Dave has gotten pricing information for IPM software at somewhere between
$20-$25K. The criteria for pricing are: how many printers of what size and
the aggregate number of ppm through the server. The number of printers Dave
suggested, just to get a price, were 2 3160s, 2 8100s, and about 10 smaller
workgroup printers.

The cost of a server (hardware) is in the $10K range. There needs to be
sufficient storage for archiving - so a job doesn't have to be resubmitted
should it crash before it's done.

How to pay for hardware and software. Dave is figuring out how to use
"credits" and what to pay cash for. Some credits must be used before they
expire. As we approach fiscal year end, it's time to decide what equipment
to retire and what new equipment to get. This has a bearing on project
decisions.

2. Xerox PrintXchange. No response yet to Dave's request for information.
We won't pursue them for an onsite presentation. We should find out to what
extent the product meets our requirements.

3. An ethernet adapter for the 3160 is on order.

4. Rocklyn and Mike should continue testing the IPM stuff that's here.
