Hi Team,
This email will be of particular interest to Mike.
As I mentioned in an earlier email, the InfoPrint Manger (IPM) server has
been installed for testing purposes in the 2nd floor computer room in W91
(W91-230) along with a companion IBM Network Printer 12. These two devices
have been connected to MITNet as follows:
IBM IPM Server:
Host Name: Y2K1.MIT.EDU
IP Address: 18.94.0.160
IBM Network Printer 12:
Host Name: Y2K2.MIT.EDU
IP Address: 18.94.0.161
I have copied the online documentation (from the CD-Rom) and the Solaris
client software to my Athena locker. They are available at:
/afs/athena.mit.edu/user/r/c/rclarke/printdel/ipm
The documentation is in a sub-directory named "docs". The files are all in
PDF format. The Solaris client is in a sub-directory named "sun". I have
given userid mwhitson read access to both of these.
Mike - when you look at the documentation you should start with the document
G5445661.PDF. This will provide pointers to some of the other document files.
I have installed the Macintosh client on my machine and I plan to install the
Windows NT client on the Windows machine in the W91-230.
