David and Mike, I offered my installed 43P IPM server for your immediate
use in our meeting last week. This is a followup note in that regard. The
server is limited in horsepower but would enable you to understand the
clients and the GUI's that IPM offers and probably transform PS and feed
the IP60 at rated speed. (IP60 would need to be network capable.) It could
drive your HP printers in passthrough or convert PS to PCL and feed a PCL
only HP printer. It would be a good learning tool. The server also has
the IPM web interface that lets anyone submit files and control the
printers via a browser with no client code. Let me know if you would like
to use it. jb
p.s. If you would prefer I can provide a demo of IPM at my IBM office in
Waltham at your convience.
p.p.s. I have not heard in regard to our participating in the 3.2 beta
program as yet.
