Subject: Action Alert: Support the Prisoners of Conscience

Hello friends,
SOA Watch received a phone call today from Jack, Josh and Karl in
the Muscogee County Jail. Their spirits are high despite the conditions
in the jail. The three are being held together in a small cell,
segregated from the general population. Until yesterday they had been
denied use of a telephone and have not been out of their cell into the
jail yard since a brief interval on 5/25. Access to incoming mail has
been fine; but they have had difficulty getting envelopes for their
outgoing mail.
In solidarity with our friends please write to the warden and the
sheriff to express your concern over these conditions. Ask them to
ensure that Jack, Josh and Karl as well as all of the inmates at
Muscogee County Jail receive regular access to the telephone, pen, paper
and envelopes for their correspondence and regular time outside. These
are not extra privileges, they are basic rights and needs. Remember,
your federal tax dollars are being used to pay for this incarceration.
Let your voices be heard!
Many have asked about other actions to take in solidarity with the SOA
26. Correspondence is important. Prison addresses for the others will be
posted as we receive them. Many among the SOA 26 have expressed their
desire to see others take their place in crossing the line. In support
of our friends, begin organizing now to bring more people than ever
before to Ft. Benning this November. Write to your representatives,
bringing the SOA 26 to their attention and asking them to contact Cindy
Buhl in Rep. McGovern's office to
sign on as a co-sponsor of HR 1810.

In Solidarity,
SOA Watch Staff

P.S. We've been getting phone calls about the outcome of Jeff's trial.
His arresting officer did not show up, so his charges were dropped.
