The Technology Licensing Office has agreed that MIT should join the FLA, and is willing to discuss the possibility of MIT joining the WRC. They also want to come up with a code of conduct, with student input. THis is really great news, and it is important that we work together with the TLO to make sure that it happens, and that a satisfactory code is adopted.

If you are interested in working _together with_ the TLO to address these issues, please contact me (juliad@mit.edu). It would help if you are here over the summer, but input is also welcome through email.

I have fixed the permissions problem with the sweatshop@mit.edu list, so please feel free to add yourselves and to use it for discussion. Relevant information is still located at http://web.mit.edu/juliad/www/sweatshops/home.html

Thanks,
Julia
