Hi Everyone,
Zhelerentice Scott has booked a booth in the student
center today to petition for the MIT seal change that would replace
one of the two male figures on the seal with a woman figure. I
know this is perhaps a symbolic gesture, but it helps create
an institutionalized message that women are every much a part
of this community as men are.
If there is anyway you can grad time to staff this booth today, we have
no one from noon -2pm. If you could eat your lunch while you watch the
table, then you can be serving two purposes at once: nurishment +
smashing the patriarchy.
Please email asap if you can do this. (I have been here a while but have
a deadline this afternoon. )
