we are planning on having a meeting this coming monday. things are moving
pretty fast as far as getting an event into orientation so we really should
meet soon if we are going to able to get anything together before they tell us
that the plan is already set in stone or anything. we also need to work on
our bulletin board and one idea is to use it for agitating against Lawrence
Summers who was just apointed the head of Harvard. for those of you who may
not know, he is the person who said in a World Bank memo
"just between you and me, shouldn't the World Bank be encouraging more
migration of the dirty industries to the LDCs [less developed countries]?...
The economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage
country is is impeccable, and we should face up to that. Under populated
countries in Africa are vastly under polluted..."
i propose that we try to meet at 5:00pm in the dome cafe, and then we may
move to an office in the infinte accross from our bulletin board. if this is
a bad time, please let us know. if not than i hope that i will see you all
