Bill McKibben is one of the best-known environmental writers around today.
He's the author of "The End of Nature" and he's written a lot for
magazines. He's visiting Harvard for this semester (I think). Tim Weiskel
is excellent - I heard him speak for Pugwash when I was at Carnegie Mellon.

The Harvard Seminar on Environmental Values begins this academic
year with a seminar session led by Mr. Bill McKibben on Wednesday,
18 October 2000 from 4:00 to 6:00pm in Seminar Room 133 of the
Barker Center for the Humanities, 12 Quincy Street, Cambridge.
Mr. McKibben's presentation on 18 October is entitled:
"How Much is Enough?: The Environmental Moment
as a Pivot Point in Human History."
This year the Seminar is sponsored by the University Committee on
Enviroment, and it is hosted this year by the Barker Center for the
Humanities.
The theme for this year's deliberations is:
New Century, New Science, New Values:
Environmental Thinking for the 21st
Century
