The world's wealthiest industrialized countries are meeting in Okinawa
Friday, July 21.
Let your voices be heard that those in the United States who stand for
peace do not approve of the policies of the G-8.
The U.S. wants a new military base built in Nago City in Okinawa to
accommodate the Osprey, am airplane of great speed and long range with
helicopter capabilities. Close to 25% of Okinawa is already occupied by
U.S. military bases.
The people of Okinawa do not want these bases. They demand a return of
these bases to them.
