"The Diary of Sacco and Vanzetti"
A one hour docudrama produced by David Rothauser
FRIDAY, August 22, 2003
7:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Dante Alighieri Society
41 Hampshire Street
Cambridge near Kendall Square Cinema
Donations suggested at the door.
Refreshments will be served.
I saw this at Community Church of Boston and I recommend it. The history
of Sacco and Vanzetti happened right here in the Bay State. They were put
to death for murder after a sham trial. For example, during the trial the
questioning focused on their politics (Anarchist/Communist, labor and
anti-WWI activists) rather than the murder.
The Alighieri society is very close to MIT, just walk down Hampshire
street past Kendall Square.

This will be only the second showing of a new film by DAVID ROTHAUSER, a
one-hour docudrama, "The Diary of Sacco and Vanzetti." The premiere
showing was at Community Church; if you missed it, here's another chance!
It is the first American project of this type, actually filmed in the
Boston area at historic locations and with a text taken from the men's
writings.
DAVID ROTHAUSER, is a teacher, playwright, actor and lecturer. He takes
part in our annual Sacco-Vanzetti Social Justice Award service (and is
himself a past recipient), performing and reading from the two martyrs.
This project is the culmination of his lifelong interest in the
Sacco-Vanzetti case.
