To all People of Conscience,
This Wednesday, MIT Student's for Israel, the same group who brought pro-ethnic
cleanser Beny Alon to campus and these days is bringing sham human rights
advocates to campus, is hosting a BBQ for Israel's "Independence Day" this
Wednesday.
Please help us distribute information about why May 15, 1948 is a day that
should be mourned as yet another sad moment in human history, rather than
celebrated. Palestinians call the day al Nakba, or "The Catastrophe," because
it marks the declaration of a religious-based settler state established
through terror and dispossession of the majority of the non-Jewish
Palestinians from the region.
Join us in refusing to allow a people to be erased, particularly when
our US tax dollars are helping to complete that project of erasure:
When: Wed May 7, 3pm
Where: meet at student center steps

DEFEND PALESTINE!
Demonstrate at the Israeli Consulate on the 55th anniversary of
AL-NAKBA / "The Catastrophe" - the day of Israel's founding.
Thursday, May 15, 5 PM to 7 PM
20 Park Plaza, Park Square, Boston
(Arlington stop on the MBTA Green Line)
May 15, 2003 marks the 55th anniversary of al-Nakba, "the catastrophe." It is
the word used by Palestinians to describe the day in 1948 when Israel
proclaimed itself a state.
Join us to protest the ongoing catastrophe of racism, colonialism, murder,
destruction, and genocide practiced today by the Zionist government in Israel.
Join us to protest Israeli "state terrorism." Join us to mark the anniversary
of the Zionist terror that wiped more than 400 villages off the map, forced
nearly 1 million Palestinians into exile, and murdered the peaceful
inhabitants of Palestine. (To learn more, visit www.Palestineremembered.com

DEFEND PALESTINE!
No Celebrations for the Murderous Zionist Army!
Sunday, May 18, 3 PM
Temple Israel, 477 Longwood Ave., Boston
(Longwood stop on the MBTA Green Line "D" Train)
The New England Friends of the IDF and Zionist House will present the Israeli
Defense Forces Musical Ensemble in a "live community concert in celebration of
Jerusalem Day."
The IDF is the illegal occupation army in Palestine. It is the murderous arm
of the Zionist government of Israel, and kills Palestinians indiscriminately.
The IDF shells schools, fires missiles into apartment buildings, blockades
ambulances, uses human shields, deliberately targets international observers
and foreign journalists, protects illegal settlers, enforces the curfews that
have shut down all aspects of normal Palestinian life, and commits countless
violations of human rights each and every day.
Should we allow a "celebration" with these murderers to go unanswered?
Shouldn't we be there to challenge the "benefactors" of the IDF, who will pay
up to $1,000 for their "preferred seating" and "private dinner reception" with
these butchers?
Join us as we confront the IDF and those who by their presence support these
murderers.
