The affiliated faculty of Emerson College was formed two years ago, but
the
administration is using typical union busting strategies and delaying
negotiations for a first contact. The administration just declared that
there would be a month before another negotiation session, and for the
last
three months have only been sending a lawyer to the table. Most
outrageous,
however, is the ?o strike/No Lockout Clause?which contains language
that
would remove the professors' right to expressing solidarity with any
other
union or campaign on campus, even on their own time! The administration
wants them fired just for SUPPORTING something like a WRC campaign or
the
other unions on campus. Call Emerson NOW and let them know that
workers
deserve everything their proposal is lacking: Health Care, Living
Wages, Job
Security and Basic Rights to the Freedom of Association!
