I ran into a guy at Saturday's HUGE rally, who is an anti-Raytheon
organizer (among other things). He asked me to get this out to as
many people as possible. There will be an anti-Raytheon+ anti -tax
for military purposes RALLY (they work together, since 50% of our tax
dollars go to military purposes) in Andover, MA on April 12 at noon.
For those who aren't going to the DC rally, the point to meet is in
front of the IRS building, just off I-93 at Route 133 at NOON. Then
a short march to march to Raytheon in Andover.

I have emailed instructions (from Mapquest) for getting from the T
stop (Haverill /Reading line) to the rally site. There is a train
that leaves North station on Saturdays at either 8:45 a.m., arrival
9:33--time to have breakfast and hang out for awhile) or at 11:30
arrival at 12:18. I would advise bringing your bike for a quick ride
to the rally. Return train leaves at either 4:31 or 7:36. There may
also

For further info, contact MACC (Massachusetts anti-corporate
clearinghouse) at 978-683-3967 or email them at
info@stopcorporatecontrol.org. The website,
www.stopcorporatecontrol.org is still under construction. This is
also being sponsored by Bread and Roses affinity Group, War Resistors
League and New England War Tax resistors.

TO date, at least 650 Raytheon-made Tomahawk Cruise Missiles have
been dropped on Iraq. Each one costs at least $1 million. Bush
received substantial donations from Raytheon (and all the other
bomb-makes), and has lots of Raytheon people around him (appointed to
positions, etc). You can get more info about this through web
searches, but if anyone knows a good anti-Raytheon (or anti-death
machine, generally) site, please pass it along.

Here is a blurb from the hand-outs the MACC guy gave me:
"Raytheon is the third largest military contractor in the US and is
just a few miles from Lawrence, one of the poorest cities in
Massachusetts. While the federal government gives Raytheon tens of
billions of dollars to build weapons components in Andover,
Lawrence's schools, low-income housing programs and social services
agencies are under-funded.
"Join us for a Celebration of Life as we march from IRS to Raytheon
(only 1/4 Mile) with music, puppets, the anarchist quack block,
Jesus, a Jedi Knight contingent and more. Bring your family,
friends, signs, puppers, music, costumes and rubber ducks."

Not sure what the rubber duck thing is about, but we definitely DO
need to start focusing on these death-machine beneficiaries.
