If the TV tube fires the right ammunition at the
right
people it is good. I am not being perverse.

New joint NY Times/Discovery Channel Documentary 10PM
TONIGHT. Flip to Channel 21, or your local pirate
radio:
"Searching for the Roots of 9/11"
"Featuring the three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning New
York Times columnist, Tom Friedman, viewers get a
broad portrait of the roots of Muslim rage and the
mistrust towards America. Friedman provides reports
from Indonesia, Qatar, Egypt, Europe and beyond."
Friedman's Co-branded Editorial: SCORECARD FOR WAR
To know whether the allied forces are winning, there
are six things one could watch out for:
(1) Have we occupied Baghdad without leveling the
whole
city? [o well, no UN+intl law on this scorecard!]
(2) Have we killed, captured or expelled Saddam?
[shouldn't he truly face justice in his own land?]
(3) Have we been able to explain why some Iraqi forces
are putting up such a fierce fight?
(4) Have we won this war and preserved the territorial
integrity of Iraq? [sure rearranging maps is
dicey,
but ONE WONDERS what the Kurds depicted on this
EXISTING CIA map think :]

(5) Has an authentic Iraqi liberal nationalist emerged
from the U.S. occupation to lead the country?
(6) Is the Iraqi state that emerges from this war
accepted as legitimate by Iraq's Arab and Muslim
neighbors?
