April Mobilization in Washington DC - http://www.LASolidarity.org

Our Resistance is as Global as their War!

Join Tens of Thousands in Washington DC from April 10-14 to mobilize
against military and economic intervention in Latin America and across the
Globe!

As the Bush administration continues to wage war against Iraq, extending
its military and political influence to every corner of the globe,
millions are resisting. From April 10-14, tens of thousands will gather
in Washington to say no to US military and economic intervention! We are
making connections between the war in Iraq and US military involvement in
Latin America because we know that Bush's war didn't start with
Afghanistan, nor will it end with Iraq. The April Mobilization will link
the peace movement and the movement for global justice because Global
Peace and Economic Justice are intertwined.

Military repression and economic oppression are the flip sides of the Same
coin. We are coming together in Washington April 10- 14 to create the kind
of world we want to live in! A better world is not only possible - change
is already underway!

Following is a brief schedule of events:

Thursday, April 10:
Close the SOA lobby day, lobby trainings will take place on Capitol Hill.
More info at http://www.soaw.org/new/article.php?id=96

Friday and Saturday April 11-12th:
Latin America Solidarity Conference III (LASC III)
The Third Latin America Solidarity Conference will include trainings,
educational workshops, skill shares and strategy sessions, as well as
important speakers from Latin America and the US. For more information or
to register online visit: http://www.lasolidarity.org

Sunday, April 13, 2003:
We are organizing a massive protest rally in Washington DC on Sunday,
April 13, 2003, followed by a march to the World Bank and the
International Monetary Fund buildings where their annual Spring meetings
are taking place. We are coordinating with movements throughout Latin
America and the Caribbean to make this an International Day of Action.
Now is the time for us to stand together and voice our opposition to US
intervention in Latin America and across the globe!

This is a crucial time for us to link the issues of Military and Economic
Intervention and bring the Peace movement together with the Movement for
economic justice. From Latin America to the Middle East, we will stand up
against US intervention and build a movement without borders!

Come to Washington. Organize others! Bring a carload or a busload of
fellow workers, or students, or churchgoers, or family members, or
friends. Come to learn and to be inspired, to be cleaver and to
strategize, to sing and to dance and to celebrate our strength, and to be
outraged and to build the global movement for peace and justice! Lets
show that our resistance is global as their war!
