Friends,
I''ve volunteered a bit of time to help a friend put together a concert to
benefit reconstruction work in Afghanistan. Please check out the website
(link below) and please think seriously about helping us. Our government
(and yes, it's still ours even if we don't like it) left a lot unfinished
over there. Consider having a great time and helping at the same time.
Thanks!
-Jonathan

"weapons of mass reconstruction" is a benefit folk music concert featuring
Kevin So, Antje Duvekot, and Lisa Bastoni. It is being held to raise funds
for Afghans for Civil Society (ACS), an organization doing reconstruction
work in Afghanistan. The show will take place at the Cambridge YWCA, 7
Temple Street, on March 29th 2003 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 in advance or
$18 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased on the web
(http://weaponsofmassreconstruction.org) or via phone (617-869-3937).
This show is using the power of folk music not just to stand against war
and terrorism, but to actually *cause* peace though supporting
humanitarian endeavors. Read more about ACS at http://www.afghanpolicy.org
