In the wake of current events, we encourage people to get into
groupings to able to express support for peace and justice. Taking
a training for non-violence civil disobedience is a way to prepare for
CD, to support others who want to and to form "affinity" groups
capable of making decisions about disciplined action.

sooner rather than later would be a good idea. there are still
openings sunday march 9 , 2:30-6:30 in boston and cambridge. if
you can, please sign up by writing to trainingrsvp@yahoo.com.

pass this on.

Want to get organized to oppose US intervention and war?
Considering doing non-violent civil disobedience (NVCD) ???
Want to support others who are?
Want to find out more about non-violence in action?
Want a way to meet others and form local "affinity" groups?

JOIN THE CROWD.
UJP is offering trainings for any interested folks.

SUNDAYS, MARCH 9, 16, 23
2:30-6:30 PM
(participants need to be there for all 4 hours).

In Boston -
Community Church of Boston
565 Boylston St. (near Copley Square)

In Cambridge -
First Church,
11 Garden Street - just outside Harvard Square.

In order to attend a training, please sign up, email to
TrainingRSVP@yahoo.com and indicate which training and which
location you want along with your name, phone, address and
email.

You only need to come to 1 of the trainings. They last 4 hours
(2:30-6:30) and we ask people to come on time and stay for the
full 4 hours. Please indicate Boston or Cambridge.
Anyone interested in exercising their constitutional right to Non-
Violent Civil Disobedience through UJP must go through a training.
It's a way to be prepared, to reflect on the power of non-violence,
to consider the pros and cons of civil disobedience, to connect
with others in affinity groups, to get some experiential feeling for
an action and to have concrete legal, logistical, practical
information. Think about coming with others from your
neighborhood, workplace or political networks.

If you have a large (15+) group which would like to be trained, let us
know. Please pass this along to others. For more information, call
Gray or Matthew at 617-661-6130
