hello.
wouldn't it be cool if those big fat lazy puppets also walked out of
class/work when the war begins?
would you like to chase a giant George W. Bush around in the street?
can you help us brainstorm a more serious visual/theatrical critique?
i've been asked to facilitate the creation of giant puppets for just such an
occassion.
art can speak louder than... well... louder than quiet art.
so let's make something bigger than life to describe how we feel.
let's create the images that illustrate the headlines when the shit hits the
fan.
our first meeting will be this saturday 10-6 at pika. (directions)
our second meeting will be this sunday 10-4 at pika. (below)
we'll be brainstorming and getting to work.
expect to have fun and to help clean.
brunch will be served both days at 11 am.
We'll be cleaned up by 6 pm on Saturday and by 4 pm on Sunday. drop by
whenever you like.
please bring some:
good ideas
bad ideas
paper bags
corrogated cardboard (big pieces)
latex paint
old paint brushes
duct tape (yes, that's what they meant)
bamboo poles
hot glue sticks
fabric
wire (chicken and otherwise)
cds and food of all varieties
and someone, please someone bring one of those big creature staplers that
can staple pieces of corrogated cardboard together!
pika is a big green house at 69 chestnut st in Cambridgeport.
from MIT/Boston take Mass Ave towards Central Square.
take a left on Sydney st towards the river.
take a right on Chestnut st.
we're on the right down the block.
