Any of you still have your "billionaires for Bush or Gore"
costumes? This should be fun. Aim of the game: dress up
like capitalists or billionaires, and join the march
while unfurling your "Taxes for the poor, welfare for the rich"
or "Fat Cats Unite! Screw the poor!" banners, signs,
etc. Or get your friend to dress up like a poor person,
and pretend to beat them with your cane or whip . Or whatever
you feel like, really. Good clean fun!
Julia
PS I guess the content of the announcement refers to us as
"nihilists", just in case anyone gets confused. Nihil =
economic justice? Not according to my latin vocabulary book,
but who am I to argue with a capitalist?
Subject: [bostonslap] March for Capitalism 2002
Below is a letter from an actual organizer of the
March for Capitalism. Last year's counter-march was
ton of fun, and vastly outnumbered the original march.
I'm sure this year will be just as good. Wear your
finest capitalist garb and meet at the Park St. T-stop
at noon this Sunday.

Friends,
As most of you already know, this Sunday, December 8
will be Celebrate Capitalism Day in Boston! Much
planning and preparation has gone into making this
year's event a success, so I hope that all of you can
come out and celebrate the vitality and creativity of
capitalism!
Per the request of the BPD, we will be leaving from
the Park Street T-Station after a short ceremony.
Events will commence promptly at 12 Noon. Be there on
time and help us honor this year's Capitalism Award
recipient!
Also, as you folks on the Security Team are well aware
and as many of you have written to me inquiring about,
this event has been under near continuous pressure by
the Nihilists, with everything from attacks on our
email systems to attempts to infilitrate our planning
meetings. The Security Team and the Anti-Nihilist GWG
have been very successful at rooting out and
destroying these plots against our Celebration this
year. Together with the strategic change of date and
the BPD's assurance that no Nihilists will be allowed
within our walking route and that any "protestors"
will be kept well away from the walk and it's
participants, we have created a situation which,
unlike last year, we can proudly proclaim this year's
Celebration to be completely family-friendly. So,
bring the family, bring the kiddies, bring yourself!
Let's celebrate Creativity! Let's celebrate Freedom!
Let's celebrate Capitalism!
Poetry and gold,
Frank
