The New York Union Semester Program is currently seeking applicants for
its Spring and Fall 2003 programs. Applications are available now
online!

Now in its third year, Union Semester is a unique "semester away"
program is offered by Queens College/CUNY which provides students with a
hands on opportunity to intern with a labor union or affiliated
organization in New York City while taking courses in labor studies.
Students earn 12 to 16 credits, receive a $210 weekly stipend and are
awarded a $1,700 tuition scholarship.  Among unions and organizations
currently hosting interns are UNITE! 23-25, the Transit Workers Union,
the National Employment Law Project and Jobs with Justice.

In order to be considered, applicants must have completed at least 45
credits, possess a GPA of at least 2.5, and show interest and dedication
in social justice and/or the labor movement. Deadline for Spring is
November 22 so APPLY NOW!
