Since September 2001, Ms. Shuster has been working with the Arab, Muslim, and
South Asian communities to provide information about civil rights, also
serving on the "Outnumber the Hate" campaign planning committee. Ms. Shuster
came to the Commission with nearly two decades of training design and
facilitation experience---as Deputy Director of Training at DSZ, a civil
rights consulting firm based in Boston and Washington, D.C.; Equal Rights
Officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency; Co-Director of the
Massachusetts Legal Services Diversity Coalition, an innovative diversity
initiative for the state's twenty-six poverty law programs; and an independent
diversity consultant for nonprofit organizations, universities, and businesses.
