The Social Justice Cooperative Presents:
Life and Debt
a documentary
by Stephanie Black
Friday, Sept. 13, at 8 pm
rm 4-237
A highly provocative, insightful and at times hilarious documentary
about how the international financial institutions (IMF, World Bank, etc)
have completely fucked over Jamaica during the last two decades.
The documentary also stars Stanley Fisher (vice president IMF),
the villain every anti-globalization activist loves to hate. You
don't want to miss seeing this guy justify catastrophic policies.
Life and Debt is probably the best documentary around to understand
exactly how international financial institutions systematically screw
developing countries.
This documentary is part of a series about globalization and international
financial and trade institutions. See web.mit.edu/justice/film for more
about future SJC friday night movies.
