An international movement of activists has pushed Coca-Cola towards announcing
a new plan to improve the company's labor conditions. They need more pressure
to make it happen:
Join them this Saturday, 8/10/02
Harvard Square Rally
meet at the Harvard Science Center, 1:30 p.m. EST
Coke has abominable labor policies, allowing paramilitaries to kill union
leaders in Colombia and avoiding appropriate HIV/AIDS healthcare coverage for
workers in Africa. This rally aims to protest those labor abuses and pressure
the company to improve conditions for Coke's laborers.
The rally is supported by the Health Global Access Project, the Student Global
AIDS Campaign and MIT United Trauma Relief. It's run by the Harvard AIDS
Coalition.
Meet at 1:30pm this Saturday at the Harvard Science Center, labeled on this map:

From the subway: Take the Red Line to Harvard Square, then proceed down Peabody
Street around the curvature of the Harvard Yard to the Science Center, an ugly
building with planetarium things on the top and big fake boulders in front.
E-mail me if you have any questions.
