April 2 to watch 100 builders hammer and saw throughout the day. Hang
out, enjoy music (courtesy of MITDMC), and learn about Habitat for
Humanity. We will be collecting donations and signing up for future
events.

MIT Habitat would like to challenge you, your department, or your
living group, to pledge a specific dollar amount per frame that is
built during Campus Build. This can be any amount, whether it be a
couple dollars or a couple hundred dollars. You may place a cap on
the pledge if you wish (i.e., $20/frame, up to $800). The total
amount per frame, and significant donors, will be announced the day of
the event, and the amount of money raised for Habitat will be tallied
each time another frame is completed.
Boston Habitat needs 50-60 frames for the new six-unit houses that
they have planned on Regent Street in Roxbury. The frames are 8'x4',
and are the structure of the wall section which will contain either a
window or a door. They will be displayed in Kresge Oval during the
Build.
The money raised during this event will go towards supporting future MIT
Habitat events and starting a MIT Habitat fund which will cover costs of
an entire Habitat house and other projects.
