ABSTRACT
The international Energy Resources industry has been present all over the
world for more than a century. However, global presence does not equate
with Globalization. This concept will be examined in the context of
Liberalization, Diversity and balanced responsibilities to shareholders,
society and the environment.
The world of energy resources has gone through fundamental changes during
the last years and decades. While most have enhanced the benefits of
Globalization, some have created impediments or even setbacks. These will
be discussed along with the resulting emerging technology
renaissance. Finally, an optimistic future view of the role of present and
novel Exploration and Production technologies will be offered.
