This strikes me as ridiculous. It's always wise to be skeptical but your
reaching. What I find really depressing in all of this is the degree to
which people twists their perception to effect their biased ends.
On one hand, there are many people who are pleased about 9/11 that were
honking their horns, dancing in the streets, and now name their children
"Osama". But in the same day, those folks in response to criticisms from
the US, respond that it was an Israeli operation, or that the tapes we have
are fake.
In your case I presume you are opposed to bin Laden's murder. The tape
gives evidence that he is culpable for 9/11. Consequently you question the
authenticity of the tape to effect a stay of his execution.
But it's absurd. Osama bin Laden has no qualms (and delights) in the death
of anyone he considers an enemy (Christians, Jews, and non-Wahabi Muslims)
and in the death of his own followers as martyrs -- he likely looks forward
to his own glorious end. I expect he's deserving of the strictest sanctions
a society can be place on a person. Whether that includes death is a
different matter.
