This has come up several times before. Moira is enforcing string
addresses not including slash or pipe to avoid security problems on
the mailhub. Are we using this functionality on the mailhub? If not,
is there any way to turn it off? Otherwise, we have to parse the
strings and determine from content if they present problems.

Subject: / in address

yo dudes,
One of my friends has a screwy summer email address, specifically:
"/PN=MWRIG/OU=OSC-SULLY/O=SMOSC/PRMD=LANGATE/ADMD=TELEMAIL/C=US/"@sprint.com

she is also trying to forward her email to there and I do not believe she has
been succsessful. The error in adding her to a mailing list is:
Command: 1
Add a member to this list
Type of member (KERBEROS, LIST, STRING, USER) [user]: string
Name of STRING to add [iggy]: '"/PN=MWRIG/OU=OSC-SULLY/O=SMOSC/PRMD=LANGATE/ADMD=TELEMAIL/C=US/"@sprint.com'
listmaint: Illegal character in argument in AddMember

I have been successful in sending email to this address. I have also sent
email to postmaster@sprint.com asking if there is an address without the /'s
however, I believe the problem is that / is not a legal character in a STRING
address and I believe it should be.

Thanks,
