So, this was discussed on -c consult, and cfox and jweiss suggested I
should sent mail here.

I have this machine (rcc4.mit.edu), on which I am implementing
certificate access. I need a good way of determining if a given
username is actually an rcc or not. Normally, we'd do this with an
internal list (unrelated to moira), however our list is out of date, so
at the moment the best list of active RCCs is obtained by:

blanche -r -u rcc

I was planning on writing a script that updated the list once weekly.
The script would call "blanche -r -u -noauth rcc" and read the output into
a text file. It was suggested that doing this without talking to you
guys would be a "Bad Thing(TM)". (Why is that, incidentally? - It's not
like I would hammer on the moira server until I got an answer or
something.)

So, is it acceptable if I do this? If there's a more complicated way
that this should be done, I'll probably punt this until we transitition
to the new server.

Thanks,

Jon
