Subject: Problem with creating IPs with Stella
Hi Matt,
You created two Hostname / IP address pairs for Greg Dancer of HST on
6-Mar-2000. The problem with them is that you created the names
without the ".mit.edu" suffix. The hosts are "Lastminute" and
"Vesalius", and they are on the WHITAKER network. The reason that
this is a problem is that the names as they appear in the Moira
database never make it into the DNS tables. You also need to play
some games with both "moira" and "stella" in order to find the
records.
For example:
$ stella vesalius
stella: No records in database match query while getting host information
$ stella vesalius\*
Machine: VESALIUS
Address: 18.42.2.14 Network: WHITAKER

I've modified the "Lastminute" record, but once I figured out what was
weird I thought I'd leave the "Vesalius" record alone for a while for
you to verify. I'll fix it later today so that it will get into the
DNS tables for tomorrow.
