Hello all,
I was poking around in Moira this afternoon -- updating the location
fields for my hosts -- when a misconfigured default domain on my
workstation led me to notice a strange and interesting behavior in Moira,
such that any user can create (by use of the Machine Menu "update" option)
a host in a non-MIT domain. For example, I now "own" Wellesley:
Machine: CHARLOTTE.WELLESLEY.EDU
Address: 18.248.1.90 Network: 62
Owner: USER johnston Use data: 21-sep-1998 08:08:36
Status: Active (1) Changed: 06-sep-1998 14:57:10
Vendor: NCD Model: 15B OS: NCDWARE
Location: 62-M203 Contact: Opt: 0
This appears to be a bug-like behavior. After all... nevermind.
Scott
