Hello, =

I=B4m currently working on a System to replace NIS+ and friends of our sy=
stem
(security reasons, bad to use with kerberos and AMD, no support for hesio=
d, ...)
After reading the last posts on the moira-ML and discussions with others =

planning to build a new management-system, i came to the conclusion that
we could share the work for implementing KRB5 into Moira (which already s=
eems
to be planned/ongoing @MIT) and to give MOIRA a new DBS (your post about =
INGRES)
like PostgreSQL or any other SQL-db (like mSQL, ...).

I also saw postings about Moira 4.x which make me interested in the =

modifcations to it.

Our target @ BSDD is to create a Managementsystem able to work with
freely available components (like KRB5, Hesiod, PostgreSQL, AMD) in order=

to replace the ugly stuff around NIS.

I have seen much of this already done in MOIRA so i thought it would be w=
orth
considering to work together on the project.
(At least it would save both sides some hacking and the resulting code
would show up sooner)

regards,
Christoph

PS: the system here already works with most of the mentioned Software
(Hesiod, PostgreSQL and of course Kerberos)
