March 2003 Status Report

Project name: Student Ebill/Epay Discovery Project
Project leader: Sandra Chauncey
Report date: 4/04/2003
Submitted by: Joanne Hallisey
Web URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/discovery/ebill/

Accomplishments past periods:

-Scheduled ITAG review for April 2, 2003
-Continued work on report.
-Outlined implementation plan.

Goals for the coming period:
-Attend ITAG review with inifiNET technical personnel on April 2, 2003.
-Complete recommendations and finalize report.
-Discuss next steps for moving project forward for sponsor meeting.
-Present final report to sponsors - April 16, 2003.
-Get update on contract status.
-End Discovery phase of the project.

Next community milestone:
None.

Issues:
Scheduling conflicts delayed ITAG review by a week.

Making a recommendation for the Statement Program is necessary for
completeness of the report, but may cause some concern as it will not
be corrected by the recommended solution.

This past month was spent on clarifying and organizing the report.
This took longer than planned.

Key learnings:
Discovery discovers things that can provide solutions to a
question(s). In the process, you may uncover things that, while not
in the solution recommendation, need to be communicated. Disclosure
gives the Discovery project more credibility.

Team dynamics:
Good. Excitement building as project nears conclusion.

Additional comments:
None.
