Project Leader: Larry Brutti 
Report Date: March 8, 2002

*Accomplishments (what did we accomplish in the last period?) 
- Completed Parking Coordinator interviews and wrote up the notes. 
- Summarized and discussed the information gathered from all the interviews. 
- Reviewed the peer institution information. 
- Scheduled and held a focus group meeting for the Parking Coordinators. 
- Scheduled a meeting with our present software provider, McGann.-


*Goals (What are we planning to accomplish in the next period?) 
- Write the learnings from the interviews and focus group as a first 
draft for the Discovery Report. 
- Move the peer institution review to local urban schools. 
- Begin the discussion on the work flow of the current Parking system 
and prepare data flow diagrams. 
- Schedule a second meeting with our present software provider, 
McGann, to discuss the new SQL version of their software.

*Have there been any developments that may impact the scope or schedule? 
none

*Do we need any additional information from the client, stakeholders,
sponsor? 
-not yet
*Issues/Key Learnings 
We found that we surveyed peer institutions who have lots of parking 
space and can open their lots to many more parkers than at MIT. We, 
therefore, decided this time to concentrate on local urban schools, 
such as BU, BC, Northeastern, and Harvard.
