Recent accomplishments:
- Met with Tim McGovern to discuss policy with respect to Stopit abuse
for the fall test.
- Clarified other eligibility policy for the fall -- those doing
sponsored research will not be eligible to participate.
- Continued recruitment of classes for the fall; to this point, however,
only two are lined up.
- Implemented the use of a feed from Moira for group membership queries.
(Thanks to Garry Zacheiss for implementing the Moira dcm).
- Further testing of software under Athena 9.0.
- Test machines have tentatively been scheduled to be updated during
the week of Aug. 27.
- Began work on adding a feature allowing a member's quota to be set
different from the group's. This will allow us to group individual
users by type.
- Decided not to implement an automated system to add temporary disk
space at this time.
- Began updating documentation for the fall, including revised language
which projects more confidence about reliability.
- Updated project notebook web page.
Upcoming plans:
- Continue recruitment of testers for the fall.
- Complete work on setting individual member's quota.
- Complete revised documentation for the fall.
- Decide on desired wording to point Stopit abusers at the test service.
- Update test machines.
Issues:
- We may have more individual testers than originally conceived, which
could have some impact on administration/support.
